GitHub Actions cost monitoring · early access

Know what every GitHub Actions run costs, as it finishes

Every run and every job, priced the way GitHub bills it — per repository, per workflow, per person who started it. See where the minutes go, before the invoice arrives.

Matches GitHub's report

Checked line by line

GitHub billing tells you what you spent. Not why.

Thirty short jobs cost far more than the clock says

GitHub bills every job in whole minutes, rounded up. A 5-second job is a 1-minute job.

A re-run bills the whole thing again

Each attempt is charged in full. Nobody adds up what re-runs cost in a month.

A lint job on macOS instead of Linux

The same task at ten times the price, for as long as nobody notices.

The invoice is the first warning

GitHub's bill arrives after the month. The run that doubled your spend was three weeks ago.

What Kaptimus does today

Built one piece at a time, each one checked against GitHub's own numbers. What is not built yet says so.

Cost breakdown

Per repository, per workflow, per run, per job — and who started each run. Pick a month and a repository.

Every runner priced

Standard and larger runners on Linux, Windows and macOS, at GitHub's published rates. Self-hosted runners cost $0, and so do standard runners on public repositories — exactly as GitHub bills them.

Ran vs billed

Each job shows the time it ran and the whole minutes GitHub bills. Re-runs are listed as their own attempts; jobs carried over from an earlier attempt cost $0.

Read-only by design

The GitHub App can only read: Actions runs, your runner lists and your GitHub plan. It never sees your source code, and it cannot change anything.
